Не прошла и половина 2009 года, а вышло столько хороших (хотя конечно есть и разочаровавшие) релизов о которых хочется поведать, что это становится просто немеслимым в плане времени.

Just watched it yesterday, gr8 movie, recommended, Mickey Rourke's acting is really good (although I seriously doubt he'll get an Oscar for it), Aronofsky's directing is good as usual but not gr8, Marisa Tomei is cute in a stripper role, the story and the script are poor.

Oren Lavie's Morning Elegance is a gr8 song (already posted by yulka), rest of the album simply boring.
One-song-artist IMHO.

So, it happened, I've finally recorded my 1st mix, don't be too judicious, it was a pure improvisation played on fly, with no prior preparation and was performed entirely on Traktor DJ Studio 3 using only mouse :))
I've called it SMS01 - Spontaneous Mix Session 01, cause I've decided to make it quite spontaneously yesterday, instead of preparing to my today's exam :))
I won't post the exact tracklist, cause the mix isn't flawless and I'm not sure that anyone of you(listeners) will listen to it more than once(if at all :)), but I'll just say that it features rather new tracks and remixes from: Henrik Schwarz, Dixon, Steve Bug, Shonky, Superpitcher, Joris Voorn, Robert Babicz and others.
Anyway, I'm planning to re-mix it with some minor corrections, cause I'm quite satisfied with the result and I'm listening to my mix ever since yesterday's recording of it :)), so I'm really waiting for your feedbacks about mixing, tracks selection, composition of the mix, it's overall feeling, etc(no need to mention evident mixing errors, like the places where I couldn't beatmatch, I'm aware of them :)).

Ghostly Swim features nineteen tracks from artists on Ghostly International, the avant-pop and non-dancefloor arm of Ann Arbor imprint Ghostly/Spectral. The 19-song collection features a variety of music, ranging from downtempo electronics from Ghostly regulars such as Matthew Dear, Dabrye, Osborne, Aeroc and Kill Memory Crash to friends of the label such as Detroit’s Deastro, Milosh from Plug Research, Flying Lotus and SAMIYAM teaming up as FLYamSAM, and UK band The Chap.

Ladies & gentlemen please welcome Junior Boys, an excellent synth-pop duo from Canada (as discogs says), I would rather call it electronic, or just downtempo with some touch of electro and minimal music, blended with beautiful male vocal. You may have heard their mix from Body Language series on Get Physical. At least that's where I heard their name for the first time.

My heart's on fire, new album that will be released next month is already available in a good quality, hooray :)
Indie, disco, electro, french-house in one bottle, take together Cassius, LCD Soundsystem, add some 80's style and you'll get Cut///Copy :)
Bottom line, must have or at least listen once to say that you don't like it!



"Lights & Music" single is also already available(rapidshare or ifolder) and includes remixes by Boys Noise and Superdiscount.

So in todays' music world full of endless shit you still have pretty good releases and here are some of them (IMHO) I'm listening to nowadays: downtempo, minimal, deep, you name it.
Of course there's a bunch of eps and tracks that I'm also listening and very enjoying, but it's just out of the scope of this post, only recently released albums.

Jeremy Greenspan & Matthew Didemus aka Junior Boys have compiled the latest installment of Get Pysical´s Body Language Series: “Body Language Six”.
The Canadian electro-pop duo formed in 1999 and are known for making melancholy dancetracks with soulful vocals. After having released their latest album “So This Is Goodbye"(2006) and the The Dead Horse EP in 2007 the Junior Boys toured North America and Europe last year including numerous festivals stops.

Давно уже слышал про эту группу, но как-то то ли название группы было недостаточно привлекательным для меня, то ли просто мой музыкальный вкус был очеь замкнутым, не знаю... вообщем почему-то я решил скачать их новый альбом и послушать его. Сделав ето я должен сказать что альбом мне очень и очень понравился, нестандартный тип музыки(по крайней мере для меня), сочетание electro, rock and downtempo очень хорошо сливается воедино, делая его очень неординарным и интересным для людей с разными вкусами в музыке, не могу сказать что слышал другие схожие группы. Заключение: альбом хорош, не скажу что супер, но некоторые трэки очень хороши, особенно мне понравились спокойные, одно но ето то что ето промо версия с вставками компьютерного голоса говорящим нам об этом в каждом трэке, но с другой стороны на то ето и промо версия, чтобы мы могли ознакомится перед тем как покупать ;)

Я уже просто ну очень хочу посмотреть новый фильм братьев Коэнов, учитывая то что его оценка на IMDB только растет и сейчас он уже на 15 месте в топ 250 с оценкой 8.9. Говорят что фильм уже попахивает Оскарами в нескольких номинациях :)

В очередной раз можете сказать что халява ко мне так и липнет :)
Единственное что меня смущает, так ето почему всегда какая-то левая халява, ну бля, вот например хочу я патифон Technics и он тоже был среди прочей халявы в розыгрыше, и уже даже сон приснился что я его выйграл, проснулся как долбоеб весь такой счастливый и вот на тебе хрен с маслом, какой-то дряной телефон от Sony Ericsson, ни к селу ни к городу и что мне с ним делать-то вообще?
Нет, ну конечно приятно что хоть что-то выйграл и что выйграл вообще, но эта минутная радость сиюминутно сменилась неприятным чувством о несправедливости етого мира, ведь согласитесь что наврядли найдется на етом свете другой такой человек который хотел бы заполучить патифон Technics на халяву так же как я :)

Вот,кстати, можете и сами попытать счастье, весь месяц декабрь, каждый день до рождества розыгрываются разные призы, хорошие и не очень, а в конце Grand Prize - домашний кинотеатр от Sony.
